Change video format without the usual hassle
Every platform has a favorite format. iPhones record MOV, most websites want MP4, screen recorders love WebM, and some older editing suites still insist on AVI. Converting between them shouldn't require installing a desktop suite or trusting a cloud service with your footage — and with Milzune it doesn't.
Drop in a file and Milzune auto-detects the input format; you just pick the output. Need an mp4 to mov converter for a Final Cut project? One click. Recorded a meeting as webm and need mp4 so everyone can play it? Same. You can even turn short clips into GIFs for documentation and chat.
A converter that respects your files
Because Milzune converts video in the browser, the file on your disk is the only copy that ever exists. There's no upload queue, no server-side storage window, and no "we delete files after 24 hours" promise to take on faith — the technical design makes uploading impossible. Read the plain-language explanation on our How It Works page.
The free tier converts files up to 100 MB, three times a day. For bigger files and batch conversion, Milzune Pro is a single one-time payment — no subscription.
Conversion questions, quickly answered
Which output format should I choose?
When in doubt, MP4 — it plays on virtually every device, platform, and browser. Choose WebM for websites that prefer open formats, MOV for Apple editing workflows, and GIF only for short, silent clips.
Does converting change the video quality?
Conversion re-encodes the video, so there is a small generational loss, but Milzune uses quality-focused settings that keep it imperceptible for typical footage. If size matters more, run it through the compressor instead.
Why is GIF output so much bigger than MP4?
GIF is a 30-year-old format that stores every frame as an image, so it's inherently inefficient. Milzune caps GIF output at a reasonable resolution and frame rate to keep sizes sane — best for clips under ~15 seconds.
Is my file uploaded while converting?
No. The conversion engine runs inside your browser tab and your file never leaves your device. Details in our Privacy Policy.
